The Island Council of Menorca has today officially approved the new public road transport concession projects, covering lines IB06, IB07, and IB08, marking a major step forward in modernising the island’s public transport system.
The current public transport network is based on contracts signed in 1996, extended until their expiration on December 31, 2020. Since then, temporary continuity agreements have been in place, with the latest valid until the end of 2026. The approval of these new projects sets the foundation for a renewed system with significant improvements.
