The Ministry of Education and Universities, the Calvià City Council, and the Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries of Calvià (IMEB) have formalised a collaboration agreement to promote the Socio-Educational Intervention Program (PISE), aimed at secondary education students at risk of school and/or social exclusion.
The document was signed by Antoni Vera, Minister of Education and Universities; Juan Antonio Amengual, Mayor of Calvià; and Isabel Bonet, representing the IMEB.

The Ministry of Education and Universities and the Calvià City Council reinforce their commitment to students at risk of exclusion through the PISE program
The purpose of the agreement is to provide an educational alternative that facilitates the reintegration and retention of these students within the educational system. The program allows students to carry out part of their school schedule in workplace environments, with the goal of boosting their motivation and easing their social and educational integration.
The three institutions involved assume specific commitments to ensure the program runs smoothly. The Ministry of Education and Universities coordinates the educational management and guarantees insurance coverage for the students. The Calvià City Council and the IMEB provide social educators and manage agreements with the companies and partner organisations where the practical training takes place.
The agreement also establishes the creation of a monitoring committee, made up of representatives from the three institutions, responsible for supervising the implementation of the program, assessing its results, and ensuring coordination between all parties involved.
The agreement is valid for four years, with the possibility of an extension for an additional period of up to four years. The program’s funding is shared among the parties, according to their respective competences, and the IMEB is required to submit an annual technical report.
Through this joint initiative, the institutions reaffirm their commitment to educational inclusion and the prevention of early school leaving. This is the first agreement of its kind to be in force in Calvià in ten years.
