With an awarded budget of 1.7 million euros, this building, owned by the Council, required conservation and renovation works.

The president of the Consell Insular of Ibiza, Vicent Marí; the minister of Presidency, Finance, Economic Management and Sports, Salvador Losa; and the minister of Social Welfare, Family and Equality, Carolina Escandell, visited the rehabilitation works currently being carried out on the former Roads Building, owned by the Consell, to modernize and adapt its spaces. With a tender amount of 1,771,344.84 euros, the company awarded this project is Construcciones Uxcar-97, S.L., with an estimated execution period of fifteen months.

Progress on the Comprehensive Renovation of the Ibiza Roads Building

This building consists of twelve floors and storage areas, as well as garages, which in recent years have been used by the Consell’s roads service. Now, with this renovation — which includes new facilities, new services, new elevators, a new façade, etc. — the spaces will be divided between the Roads Service and the Social Welfare department for the Consell Insular’s care services.

Located on Sant Joan Avenue, this renovation of the multipurpose building will allow the Consell of Ibiza to expand its facilities to better meet the needs of specific services.
