Subsidies can be requested until December 31, 2025, and may reach up to €32,750 per home.

The Inca City Council has extended the deadline until December 31 to apply for aid for the renovation of buildings and homes in the historic centre of the city, within the framework of the Neighbourhood-Level Rehabilitation Aid Program, financed with Next Generation EU funds and municipal contributions.

These grants are aimed at promoting energy efficiency improvements in predominantly residential buildings located within the Programmed Residential Rehabilitation Environment (ERRP) Historic Centre of Inca. The initial call was published in BOIB No. 105 on August 10, 2024.

The total budget of the program is €579,250, of which €300,000 comes from the Inca City Council and the rest from the Next Generation EU funds, through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

The Councillor for Urban Planning, Andreu Caballero, highlights that “this extension of the deadline is a great opportunity for all those who have not yet been able to submit their application. From the Inca City Council, we continue working to facilitate the rehabilitation of our historic centre and promote a more sustainable, efficient, and healthy urban model. He also recalls that “thanks to these grants, significant improvements can be made to buildings and homes, providing great energy and financial savings for property owners.”

It should be noted that the grants are aimed at individual property owners, homeowners’ associations, and rehabilitation agents who wish to undertake energy rehabilitation projects in collective residential buildings or single-family homes. The amount of the subsidy can reach up to €25,000 per home, and up to €32,750 in cases of proven economic vulnerability, depending on the level of energy savings achieved.

To be eligible, the works must have started after February 1, 2020, and must achieve a minimum 30% reduction in non-renewable primary energy consumption. Eligible actions include improvements to the building envelope (thermal insulation, windows, roofs…); renovation of heating or hot water systems; integration of renewable energies; improvements in accessibility and conservation; and digitalisation actions, among others.

To facilitate the processing of aid, the City Council has set up a Rehabilitation Office, which acts as a one-stop service to inform, advise, and support applicants throughout the process. In-person assistance is available every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. by appointment. The office can also be contacted via email: orehabilitacio@incaciutat.com.
