The La Victòria summer camps, organised by the Consell de Mallorca, have come to an end after hosting 642 children and young people over ten sessions held between late June and late July. The hostel, located in a privileged natural setting in the municipality of Alcúdia, has once again provided the backdrop for an educational leisure initiative combining nature, coexistence, and personal development.

This year’s thematic focus was “The sea as a source of life and Mallorcan culture”, a pedagogical approach that allowed participants to explore Mallorca’s deep-rooted connection with its marine environment over generations.

The experience combined outdoor activities, creative workshops, and moments of emotional discovery. Participants enjoyed the natural surroundings of the area, with beach swims, routes, and excursions such as visits to the La Victòria hermitage and the s’Albufera de Mallorca Natural Park, where they got to know one of the island’s most emblematic natural spaces up close.

This edition also introduced new activities focused on emotional well-being, including a session led by a specialist psychologist and two performing artists, helping children to work experientially on aspects such as empathy, emotional management, and improving social skills. Along the same lines, a cybersecurity training session was offered by the Civil Guard, providing young participants with tools to navigate the digital environment more safely.

The Minister of the Presidency, Toni Fuster, gave a highly positive assessment of this edition:

“The La Victòria camps are a unique experience that allows young people to connect with the environment and with themselves. We have focused on educational leisure that fosters empathy, environmental awareness, and coexistence.”

With the closure of these camps, the Consell de Mallorca continues to offer leisure opportunities for children and young people through the Multiaventuras program, both in its Jove and Junior modalities, which remains ongoing.
