Registration is open from August 6 to 12, and the two sessions — aimed at young people aged 18 to 30 — will take place in early and mid-September.

The Consell de Mallorca is launching another edition of the youth trek along the Camí de Cavalls, a five-day experience of coexistence, nature, and cultural discovery in Menorca for young people aged 18 to 30. This year’s program, first organized in 2024, doubles the number of available spots due to the success of the inaugural edition, offering a total of 100 participants.

Interested individuals may register between August 6 and 12 through the official website. The activity will be held in two groups of 50 participants each: the first from September 1 to 5 and the second from September 10 to 14.

The program is 70% subsidised by the island institution and includes ferry transport, accommodation, full board, professional guides, and educational support throughout the trip, all for a total price of €97.86. Participants will hike different sections of the Camí de Cavalls, a historic route that circles Menorca’s coastline and combines scenery, biodiversity, and cultural heritage.

“This route is more than just a getaway: it’s a transformative experience for many young people,” said the Minister of the Presidency, Toni Fuster. “At the Consell, we are committed to promoting an active, healthy, and enriching summer with proposals that encourage social connection and engagement with nature.”

The first edition, held in 2024, was very well received by participants, who highlighted the opportunity to discover the territory and forge strong bonds with fellow hikers. This year’s edition further consolidates the trek as part of the Consell’s summer activities for young people, alongside other programs such as the ongoing Multiaventures Jove.

The full five-day itinerary, starting in Ciutadella, includes landmarks such as Cap d’Artrutx, Cala en Turqueta, Cala Galdana, Cala Mitjana, Sant Tomàs, Son Bou, Cala en Porter, Binissafúller, Punta Prima and Cala Sant Esteve, ending in Maó.
