The Consell of Ibiza and the Astronomical Association of Ibiza Bring Back the ‘Nights of Stars’ at Cala d’Hort

Once again, the Island Council of Ibiza, in collaboration with the Astronomical Association of Ibiza (AAE), is launching a new edition of astronomical observation sessions at the stunning Ses Païsses Observatory in Cala d’Hort, as part of the established ‘Nights of Stars’ program.

The Consell of Ibiza and the Astronomical Association of Ibiza Bring Back the ‘Nights of Stars’ at Cala d’Hort

This new edition will feature five stargazing sessions, each open to a maximum of 30 participants. Attendees will have the opportunity to observe deep space, Saturn, the Moon, distant galaxies, and binary stars, all guided by members of the AAE.

Observation dates and registration periods:

  • August 16 at 10:00 p.m.
    ▸ Registration: from August 8 (9:00 a.m.) to August 10 (midnight)
  • August 30 at 9:15 p.m.
    ▸ Registration: from August 22 (9:00 a.m.) to August 24 (midnight)
  • September 20 at 9:00 p.m.
    ▸ Registration: from September 12 (9:00 a.m.) to September 14 (midnight)
  • October 11 at 9:00 p.m.
    ▸ Registration: from October 3 (9:00 a.m.) to October 5 (midnight)
  • November 15 at 9:00 p.m.
    ▸ Registration: from November 7 (9:00 a.m.) to November 9 (midnight)

Additional Information

  • Participation is free of charge, but prior registration is required.
  • Private vehicles are not allowed at the observatory to protect the natural environment.
  • A bus transfer will be provided, departing one hour before the session from the headquarters of the Consell Insular d’Eivissa (Av. d’Espanya, 49, Ibiza). The bus will return to the same location after the session.

☑️ A maximum of two people per request is allowed, except in the case of small family units. Slots will be assigned in order of email receipt.

Notes and Recommendations

The activity takes place outdoors and is subject to weather conditions, which may cause schedule changes or cancellations.
👶 Recommended minimum age: 6 to 8 years.
