The Menorca Island Council has opened the application period for grants aimed at Menorcan or resident athletes who have achieved notable sporting results during the 2024-25 season. The programme, with a budget of €100,000 (€20,000 more than in 2024), gives priority to athletes in performance or training programmes, women’s sports, and adaptive sports.

Applications Open for Menorca’s Elite Athlete Grants

Eligible applicants, aged 12 and over, must have represented Menorca, the Balearic Islands, or Spain in national or international championships, or be listed in official rankings. The grants will help cover expenses such as training, travel, accommodation, competition fees, and other related costs.

The maximum amount per recipient is €6,000, and applications will be accepted until 31 August 2025, either in person at the SAC offices in Maó and Ciutadella or online via the Council’s portal.
