Agriculture allocates nearly €11 million from the national reserve of the CAP to 2,336 farmers and livestock breeders, 72% are young
Since 2023, two new access categories have been added to the national reserve, considered after young and new farmers:
- Disadvantaged farmers who have been active since 2015 without basic payment entitlements.
- Farm managers participate in restructuring programmes to prevent land abandonment.
In 2024, 310 farmers benefited under the first category, with an average of €1,858, and four under the second, with €669 on average.
All recipients also benefit from the complementary redistributive income support, representing an additional 20%. The mechanism will continue to prioritise young and new farmers between 2023 and 2027, consolidating its role as a key tool to ensure generational renewal in agriculture.
