Following the successful opening of the Jazz Palma Festival on Thursday, 7 August, with the performance of singer, songwriter, and producer Myles Sanko, the series continues this week with Cuban pianist and vocalist Glenda del E., who will perform on Thursday, 14 August, at 9:00 p.m. in the historic setting of Bellver Castle.
The festival, part of the Nits a Bellver programme, offers a total of four Thursday evening concerts throughout August, combining live music with the unique atmosphere of one of Palma’s most iconic landmarks.

Glenda del E. Takes the Stage Next at the Jazz Palma Festival in Bellver Castle
Glenda del E., known for her fusion of Afro Latin jazz soul, arrives in Palma after contributing to the Latin Grammy-nominated album Ella and collaborating on the Elipsis project with Antonio Sánchez, Michael League, and Pedrito Martínez. She has also toured with Alejandro Sanz on his Sirope Tour.
On 21 August, the Jazz Palma Festival will welcome Italian double bassist and composer Giulia Valle with her Giulia Valle Trio, featuring Tom Amat (piano/keyboards) and Adrià Claramunt (drums/percussion). Valle is regarded as one of Europe’s most original jazz voices, blending incisive melodies with powerful rhythms.
The festival will close on 28 August with Hard Bop Drivers, a group that revives the vibrant hard bop style of the 1950s. Regular performers at Palma’s Blue Jazz Club, the band is made up of Pep Garau (trumpet), Miquel Àngel Rigo (saxophone), Gori Matas (piano), and Pep Lluís García (drums), joined for this occasion by guest vocalist Sinead Cormican.
