The jury of the 2025 Art Jove Photography Contest has awarded the first prize to the work De lo que no se habla (“What is not spoken about”) by artist Pilar Estévez. The announcement was made this Saturday during an event at Casal Balaguer, attended by institutional and cultural representatives.
The winning piece, along with the other six finalists, was developed under the theme of borders, the central concept of this year’s contest.
The award includes a €1,500 cash prize and the opportunity for the work to be exhibited in Girona and Perpignan in 2026, as part of the international exchange program Art Pertot. The IBJOVE will cover all expenses related to the artist’s participation in this program.
