Margarita Llabrés Deyá Still Listed on Consell Town Council Website Six Months After Her Dismissal

The official website of the Consell Town Council still presents a completely outdated image of its political reality. Margarita Llabrés Deyá, who was dismissed as second deputy mayor six months ago, continues to appear as if she were part of the municipal government team.

The case is even more serious considering that, nine months after the death of the third deputy mayor, Sebastià Company Julià, he is also still listed as a member of the corporation. A situation that borders on the absurd and highlights serious negligence in the management of public information.

The decrees published in June and July 2023 —when deputy mayors and members of the Local Government Board were appointed— remain accessible on the municipal portal. However, since then, there has been no update. This lack of revision creates confusion among citizens, who turn to the website to find out who their current representatives are.

At a time when updating a website can be done in a matter of minutes, keeping outdated information online for so long conveys an image of disinterest and lack of rigour. The fact that Margarita Llabrés Deyá still appears as holding an official position, and that a deceased councillor is listed as if he were still part of the government team, is not just a technical error: it is a clear sign of disconnection between the Town Council and the minimum standards of transparency.

Citizens’ trust in institutions is also built on details such as this. An official website should be a reliable, clear, and up-to-date source, not a reflection of inaction. What is happening in Consell projects exactly the opposite image: that of an administration stuck in the past and neglecting communication with its residents.

In 2025, maintaining an institutional portal with outdated positions and erroneous information is not only negligent but also sends a dangerous message: one of disrespect toward citizens and of careless management of public affairs.
