Teatre Principal de Palma puts tickets and subscriptions for the 25/26 season on sale

The Teatre Principal begins its 2025/2026 season and will open its box office this Wednesday, August 27. From 11:00 a.m. on August 27, spectators will be able to purchase their subscriptions both at the box office and online. A few days later, on Monday, September 1, individual tickets for shows will go on sale online, and from Wednesday, September 3, also at the box office.

This schedule gives subscribers an advantage, allowing them to choose the best seats at the best price, as a way of thanking them for their loyalty.

This season features five subscription types, designed to offer significant savings and easier access to scheduled performances:

  • Extra: purchase of five or more shows, with a 40% discount.
  • General: three or four shows, with a 25% discount.
  • Duo: two tickets for two or more shows, with a 25% discount.
  • Opera Season: two or more operatic performances, with a 20% discount.
  • Intergenerational Family: two tickets for two or more family shows, with a 25% discount.

The Teatre Principal’s program will kick off the week of September 15 with Usted está aquí, a dramatised guided tour by Anna Berenguer (September 15 and 22); a piano concert by Muza Rubackyte, as part of the Chopin Festival (September 17); Helena Tornero’s play Tú me prometiste una historia de amor, directed by Israel Solà (September 19); and the dance performance Loneliness by Roberto G. Alonso (September 20).

Over the course of the season, there will be more than 45 shows, featuring major names such as Dario Grandinetti, Pere Arquillué, Josep Maria Pou, Simón Orfila, Ana Duato, Pep Tosar, Rosa Renom, Lluís Homar, Josep Maria Miró, Oriol Broggi, and Ana Rujas.

Additionally, the Opera Season celebrates its 40th edition this year. It will open with Puccini’s Tosca, in a production by Teatro Massimo of Palermo, with Simón Orfila as Scarpia (October 22, 24, and 26).

It will continue with the revival of the zarzuela La corte de Faraón, staged by Emilio Sagi (January 10 and 11); the first staged Wagner in the Principal, Der fliegende Holländer (The Flying Dutchman) (February 18, 20, and 22); the traditional Easter Concert (April 3); Poulenc’s La voix humaine (April 24 and 25); and will close with Verdi’s Rigoletto (June 17, 19, and 21).
