The Consell de Mallorca is launching a new edition of the “Stays for Seniors” program, which this year offers a total of 2,000 places—double last year’s figure—following the success of the first edition. This initiative aims to promote active ageing, social interaction, and well-being among the island’s elderly population through hotel stays with a full agenda of activities.
The program, designed for people aged 60 and over, includes a wide variety of activities such as hiking, line dancing, ballroom dancing, ball de bot (traditional Mallorcan dance), gymnastics, and pilates, all intended to encourage physical health, mental activity, and socialisation.
The stays will take place at the Hotel Blau Punta Reina Resort at the end of October, with a duration of 3 days and 2 nights, and will be 75% subsidised by the Consell de Mallorca. The schedule includes four rounds of 500 participants each: October 20–22, October 22–24, October 27–29, and October 29–31, 2025.

The Consell de Mallorca launches 2,000 places to promote active ageing with stays on the island
The cost is €89.20 per person (€178.40 per double room), covering all-inclusive accommodation, activities, and insurance. Applicants must make a single registration to apply for a double place, which covers both their stay and that of their companion, provided both meet the eligibility requirements.
The Minister of Presidency, Toni Fuster, emphasised that “these stays are an opportunity for our senior citizens to enjoy days of community, activities, and rest. This year, we are taking a step forward and offering 2,000 places so that more people can enjoy this experience that combines health, leisure, and social relationships.”
He also highlighted that “the elderly people of Mallorca show us every day their energy and desire to remain active, which is why we continue to promote programs that meet their needs and interests.”
Registrations will open on September 3, 2025, at 00:00 and close on September 17, 202,5, at 23:59, through the Consell de Mallorca’s Electronic Office. Participants will be selected by a public lottery among all applications, and a waiting list will also be created to cover possible withdrawals.
