The Consell de Mallorca has wrapped up the summer season with a total of 13,682 participants in the sports initiatives held from June to August. These activities targeted children, young people, families, and seniors, and were carried out in collaboration with the island’s municipalities.
The most popular program was “Fires i festes”, included in local patron saint festivities. It attracted 6,853 participants who enjoyed traditional games, water-based activities, and multi-adventure circuits, making it the summer’s most successful initiative.

More than 13,600 people take part in the summer sports activities organised by the Consell de Mallorca
As for the other programs, the Activitats d’estiu —a new aquatic sports proposal— brought together 2,469 young participants, achieving great success in its debut. Meanwhile, the Acampaesport camp, with overnight stays for children and teenagers, hosted 1,594 participants.
The Sortides activities, designed for older adults, drew 2,146 attendees, who took part in activities such as water cycling, dragon boat rowing, and other group outings. In addition, 620 family members joined the themed sports stays at La Victòria, focused on adventure sports.
The Second Vice President and Minister of Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard, emphasised that “this summer the Consell has increased the budget and hours dedicated to aquatic activities for young people due to the high demand.” He also highlighted that “municipalities are the main beneficiaries, as they incorporate these initiatives into their summer programs.”
