The Department of Business, Self-Employed, and Energy has launched a new call for applications, with a total budget of €120,000, aimed at promoting cooperation among productive sectors and enhancing business competitiveness through the Balearic Industrial Development Centres (CDIBs).
The initiative, driven by the Directorate-General for Industry and Industrial Estates, aims to consolidate these research centres and the collaborative projects they develop, thereby facilitating the transfer of technological knowledge to the islands’ economic fabric.

The Balearic Government allocates €120,000 to strengthen the Balearic Industrial Development Centres
Eligible applicants are non-profit legal entities recognised as CDIBs. These organisations must have their own material and human resources, focus their activity on technological innovation, and foster new business initiatives that strengthen competitiveness and regional development. Furthermore, at least 20% of their members or associates must be companies listed under sections 2 to 5 of the Spanish IAE business tax classification.
Eligible expenses
The program covers three main categories:
- Management and operational costs, with up to 80% coverage of salaries and social security contributions for managers and employed staff.
- Ordinary operating expenses, with 50% co-financing.
- External collaborations, including consulting services, management support, promotional activities, or specialised services, are also covered up to 50%.
The subsidised actions must be carried out and paid between November 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025. The application period is now open.
