The Balearic Islands Health Service has launched a new public competition to fill 846 permanent statutory staff positions across 16 professional categories. This call is part of the 2023 and 2024 Public Employment Offers (OEP).

Out of the total, 553 positions are available through open competition, while 293 are reserved for internal promotion, with an additional 7% quota for candidates with disabilities.

The Health Service announces 846 permanent positions in 16 staff categories

The resolution, which outlines the call, requirements, examination syllabi, and merit scoring criteria, has been officially published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB). Applications may be submitted from November 17, 2025, until December 16, 2025.

The largest number of vacancies corresponds to nursing (344 positions), healthcare assistants (82), and orderlies (76). Other posts include physiotherapists, administrative staff, laboratory technicians, pathology specialists, drivers, monitors, and several nursing specialisations (mental health, emergency primary care, family and community, occupational health, and obstetrics-gynaecology).

Through this employment offer, the Health Service aims to reduce temporary contracts within the public health system and provide greater job stability for healthcare professionals.
