The Eivissa Island Council, through its Department of Environmental Management, the Waste Office and the Island Network of Recycling Centres, has unveiled its waste education programme for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The initiative aims to raise awareness on waste prevention and proper management, offering workshops, activities and guided visits for schools, associations, adults and other interested groups across the island.

This year’s programme includes 12 workshops and 3 visits, tailored to different age groups, from preschool to secondary education, as well as adult audiences. Among the activities are “Marineta the Turtle and Marine Plastics”, “The Waste Monsters”, “Small Recycled Paper Workshop”, “Composting Workshop” and the “Digital Waste Escape Room” for older students.

Educational visits allow participants to learn first-hand about waste management in Eivissa, with proposals such as “Visit to the Ca na Putxa Environmental Area”, “Visit to a recycling centre”, and “Mobile recycling centre at your school”.

Teachers also have access to supporting educational resources, including videos, digital workshops, waste separation guides and statistics on selective collection.

Schools, businesses and groups interested can apply via the online form at residus.conselldeivissa.es. Once submitted, environmental technicians will contact applicants to confirm and coordinate the activity.
