Over 1,100 people with disabilities receive grants for education and training

The programme aims to narrow the educational gap and ensure equal opportunities for people with disabilities to access secondary, vocational, university, artistic, language studies and civil service exams.

By region, Andalusia received the highest share of grants (27%), followed by Madrid (24%) and Catalonia (8.4%). Most funds were directed to university degrees (31.2%), training provided by third-sector organisations (27.9%), and vocational education (19%).

The programme also focuses on groups facing multiple discrimination, including women with disabilities (52.56% of beneficiaries), people with high support needs, those with autism, and those living in rural areas.

Through this initiative, the Government strengthens its commitment to inclusive education and quality employment, in line with the Spanish Disability Strategy 2022-2030 and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
