In his speech, Galmés highlighted the school’s cultural legacy: “The School of Music and Dance of Mallorca is a cultural benchmark that has kept our identity alive, passing it on with dedication and passion to generation after generation. The Diada is the perfect occasion to acknowledge institutions like this one, which have decisively strengthened our cultural roots.”

The exhibition showcases the school’s history, its role in audiovisual and written media, its connection to the World Festival of Folkloric Dances, its fifteen years of cultural lecture cycles, and its current educational initiatives aimed at bringing traditional culture closer to children.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy complementary activities, including talks, roundtables, acoustic concerts, and book presentations. The opening ceremony concluded with a public dance accompanied by the island’s traditional xeremiers in the pati de les Dones.
