The Minister Sáenz de San Pedro visits the fairs to support Balearic brands and meets with representatives of ACME and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid to explore collaboration opportunities for the benefit of companies from the Balearic Islands.

Balearic brands and designers are showcasing their latest creations and exploring new avenues of collaboration with industry stakeholders.

The Minister of Enterprise, Self-Employment and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro, together with the Director General of Industry and Industrial Estates, Alfons Gómez, attended the Bisutex, Madridjoya and MOMAD trade fairs held at IFEMA in Madrid this Thursday to support the companies from the Balearic Islands participating in these international events.

In this September edition, leading firms from the region’s design, jewellery and fashion sectors are unveiling their new collections while taking advantage of the fairs to strengthen commercial ties and open new business opportunities.

Sáenz de San Pedro reiterated the Government’s commitment to the sector, while also using the visit to learn firsthand about the current situation of the companies, their future projects and their main needs.

Throughout the day, the Minister and the Director General held meetings with the Spanish Association of Fashion Designers (ACME) and with representatives of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, with the aim of exploring potential lines of collaboration to further boost the design and fashion industries in the Balearic Islands.

At Bisutex, the Balearic companies presenting their latest creations in costume jewellery, accessories and leather goods include: Afra Europa; INBIME; Creaciones Marian; Estampadora Mahonesa; Eva Riu Art; Ro & Ro Menorca; Vanderly; Madreperla Elements; Serenity Edition; Mir Fornituras; Nani & Co.; and Roman Camps.

Meanwhile, Adlib fashion designers from IbizaPiluca Bayarri, Catalina Kim (Ibiza Stones), Tony Bonet, along with Ibiza Vintage designers Alberto, Alberto Serra Ramírez and José Antonio Mari Schroder — have chosen the MOMAD fair as the platform to present their latest collections, trends and innovative brand and retail concepts.

Finally, the Menorcan company Compack, a manufacturer of jewelry cases, displays and sample collections, is taking part in Madridjoya with a line that highlights the creative and artisanal excellence of the Balearic Islands.
