Thousands of Walkers Arrive in Lluc for the First “Pujada a Peu” Organised by the Consell de Mallorca

The President of the Consell de Mallorca was among the participants in the Pujada a Peu a Lluc de la Part Forana, and he was responsible for giving the starting signal in Inca, together with the Minister of the Presidency, Toni Fuster, in a particularly significant 44th edition. As part of the Diada de Mallorca and for the first time, the Pujada a Peu de la Part Forana was organised by the Consell de Mallorca, in collaboration with the Association of Former Blauets of Lluc and with the support of multiple institutions, volunteers, and emergency services.

Public turnout was very high, with around 5,000 participants from 45 municipalities across the island. All of them made the journey to Lluc as an expression of faith, tradition, personal challenge, or simply as a shared experience.

Upon arrival at the sanctuary, pilgrims were welcomed with hot chocolate and the traditional mides prepared by the Mater workshop, as a gesture of hospitality and recognition of their effort. The day continued with a gathering of Giants and the institutional and religious welcoming ceremony, which included greetings from the Association of Former Blauets, offerings from the towns with flowers and local products, and a Eucharist presided over by the Bishop of Mallorca, accompanied by the Choir of Former Blauets.

The Consell de Mallorca activated a broad security and coordination plan, with the participation of more than 200 personnel, including emergency services, local police, healthcare staff, civil protection, and volunteers. Operation centers were set up in Inca and Lluc, and a digital communications system was deployed to ensure coverage and monitoring throughout the entire route.
