The Consell de Mallorca, through its Department of Culture and Heritage, will present the published books of the 2024 Mallorca Prize-winning works at the Catalan Book Week, organised by the Mallorca Booksellers’ Guild. The presentation will take place on Friday, September 19, at 6 p.m., in the gardens of the La Misericordia Cultural Centre.
This will be the first time the institution unveils the award-winning books as part of this literary event, which runs from September 17 to 21.
Vice President and Minister of Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, emphasised that the event highlights the Consell’s commitment to culture and literary creation on the island: “We want these books to reach readers and become a living part of Mallorca’s culture.”
The presentation will feature the categories of poetry, essay, theatrical texts, and illustrated children’s literature, with the attendance of the awarded authors. The works have been published by Sargantana, except for Fugissera, winner in the children’s illustrated literature category, published by Disset.
