€22 million allocated to strengthen home care services in Palma, Pla and Llevant de Mallorca

In the Pla de Mallorca, 292 people will be assisted through an agreement with Treballadores Socials de la Part Forana cooperative, worth €2.47 million until August 2026, providing 9,000 monthly hours.

In the Llevant region, 263 users will benefit from 12,000 monthly hours managed by Arrels i Ales Mallorca, with funding of €3.76 million until September 2026.

These renewals add to the broader agreement signed with the Consell de Mallorca, which allocates €13.6 million to SAD from 2025 to 2027, amounting to 654,000 additional hours. As a result, the total monthly hours have increased by 19,600, rising from 17,000 to 18,400.

This initiative is part of the deinstitutionalisation strategy, aimed at enabling dependent individuals to remain in their homes for as long as possible, while also improving conditions and job security for care workers.
