The Health Service of the Balearic Islands has launched the second edition of the course “Comprehensive Care for Victims of Sexual Violence in the Health Sector”, with 180 professionals enrolled. The program is organised by the Health Service and the Health and Gender Coordination Unit of the Directorate General of Public Health, in collaboration with the Balearic Women’s Institute (IBDONA).

180 healthcare professionals join training course on comprehensive care for victims of sexual violence
The training is aimed primarily at hospital staff, focusing on professionals in emergency care, mental health, gynaecology, and paediatrics. Its purpose is to provide participants with both theoretical and practical knowledge to implement the Intersectoral Guide for Immediate Care of Victims of Sexual Violence in the Balearic Islands.
The course began yesterday and will run until November 16. The first edition, held from May 5 to June 30 this year, was attended by 177 healthcare professionals.
