Inca Regional Hospital has introduced a new service providing free televisions and telephones in all inpatient rooms and the dialysis unit. The Minister of Health, Manuela García, visited the facility along with hospital manager Xisco Ferrer and members of the management team to officially present this improvement.
A total of 94 smart TVs and 184 telephones (two per room) have been installed. These devices are now available in the 80 inpatient rooms, the individual dialysis rooms, the treatment area, and several common spaces throughout the hospital.

During the presentation, García emphasised that this initiative reflects the Government’s commitment to humanising healthcare, focusing not only on patients’ physical needs but also on their emotional and overall well-being.
The TV service is entirely free of charge, giving patients access to all available high-definition DTT channels, as well as regional and local programming. In the coming weeks, patients will also be able to log into their personal accounts to enjoy streaming platforms.
This action is part of the hospital’s Humanisation Plan, which aims to enhance the emotional comfort of both patients and their companions during hospitalisation. The project involved an investment of €127,709, covering the purchase of equipment and its maintenance over the next four years.
