The Consell of Mallorca has officially presented one of the most important races of the year on the islands, the Grand Prix des Baléares 2025, which will take place next Sunday, September 28, at the Son Pardo racetrack.

Attending the presentation of the competition were the Second Vice President and Councillor of Environment, Rural Affairs and Sports, Pedro Bestard; the President of the Institute of Equestrian Sports and the Balearic Federation (IEHM), Gaspar Oliver; and the President of the Balearic Trotting Federation (FBT), Juan Antonio Rosselló.

The Consell of Mallorca presents the Grand Prix des Baléares 2025 to be held this Sunday at the Son Pardo racetrack

Councillor Bestard emphasised “the importance of this competition in placing Mallorca on the European trotting map,” noting that the Grand Prix des Baléares 2025 is one of the most prominent events in the international trotting calendar and a scoring event for the Tour Européen Trotteur Français (TETF).”

The main race will take place this Sunday at 12:47 p.m. over a distance of 2,650 meters with an autostart start, and it will feature a total prize fund of €25,000, distributed among the top eight positions. The winner will receive €11,500, the runner-up €5,750, and the third-place finisher €3,000, with decreasing amounts awarded up to the eighth place.

This prize distribution consolidates the Grand Prix des Baléares as one of the most prestigious and attractive events in the European trotting calendar.
