The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has authorised payments amounting to €4.68 million as part of a new round of extraordinary aid for farmers and livestock breeders whose holdings were damaged by the recent DANA storm.
Specifically, 73 farm owners will receive €2.75 million to cover 100% of losses not compensated by agricultural insurance, while 22 nurseries will be granted €1.9 million, corresponding to 60% of the damages assessed by the public company Tragsatec.

Agriculture allocates nearly €5 million in new extraordinary aid for farmers and ranchers affected by the DANA storm
With this additional resolution, the number of beneficiaries rises to 2,509, and the total amount distributed so far reaches €12.59 million.
The aid fully covers uninsured damages in 78 municipalities —75 in the province of Valencia and 3 located in Albacete, Cuenca, and Málaga. In other areas included in the Council of Ministers’ agreement of November 5, 2024, the compensation will cover 85% of uninsured damages.
Funded through the EU’s agricultural reserve, these payments may be reduced if farm owners have already received other aid for the same purpose.
Through this financial support, the Spanish Government aims to speed up the recovery of rural areas and safeguard the continuity of farms hardest hit by torrential rains.
