The metal structure of trusses and purlins will also be treated, as it has lost its anticorrosive protection and shows critical wear at support points. The elements will be brushed and coated with an anticorrosive primer, followed by a protective paint layer to ensure durability. Additionally, the drainage channels and downspouts will be repaired, correcting deformations and cracks to prevent leaks that could accelerate future structural damage.
This project is part of the Educational Investment Plan, under the “Illes en transformació” initiative of the Government of the Balearic Islands — a strategic program aimed at renewing and strengthening public infrastructure, with a particular focus on educational facilities.
The plan includes around 300 interventions in schools across the Balearic Islands over the next ten years, with a total investment exceeding €600 million.
