Emergency Services Activate Orange Rain Alert and Yellow Storm Alert for Ibiza and Formentera

The General Directorate of Emergencies has been closely monitoring the situation since the first warning issued by AEMET, taking into account the extraordinary conditions in Ibiza after the floods that occurred last week. Consequently, the Technical Advisory Committee has implemented stricter measures than usual and increased surveillance in the most affected areas, especially along the airport access road, which will be continuously monitored.

Authorities are urging residents to avoid outdoor activities and events involving large gatherings throughout the day on Thursday.

The INUNBAL Plan remains in recovery and normalisation phase in Ibiza, and in pre-emergency phase across the rest of the Balearic Islands.

The Technical Advisory Committee will meet again at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday to reassess the situation and determine any further necessary measures.
