Five companies from the Balearic Islands were selected among Spain’s TOP 101 for innovative entrepreneurship

These awards are organised at the national level by FORO ADR and, regionally, by ADRBalears of the Ministry of Business, Self-employment and Energy, in collaboration with Fundación Bit.

The companies Iberian Tax, Trueworld Organisation, REM Experience, Gemminis and Voltic will receive their recognition on November 12 in Murcia.

A total of five startups from the Balearic Islands will be among Spain’s 101 most influential emerging companies after being selected for the second edition of TOP 101 Spain Up Nation 2025. These national awards highlight firms with exemplary, highly innovative business models and a strong impact on the national ecosystem.

Five companies from the Balearic Islands were selected among Spain’s TOP 101 for innovative entrepreneurship

The main goal of the TOP 101 Awards is to identify, recognise and support, from the public sector, the innovative entrepreneurial spirit and recent business growth in the country. The awards seek to highlight projects that transform productive sectors through sustainable, competitive and exportable models.

The five selected companies met with the regional minister for Business, Self-employment and Energy, Alejandro Sáenz de San Pedro; the Director General of Innovation and Digital Transformation, Sebastián González; and the manager of ADRBalears, Silvia Delgado, to announce the details of the final gala.

The awards ceremony will take place in Murcia on November 12 at the Teatro Romea, with the participation of entrepreneurs, investors, institutional representatives and business ecosystem agents.

Emerging companies with strong investment potential will have the opportunity to present at the WaykUp Investment Forum, also organised during those days. In the Balearic Islands, the most investible company recognised was Iberian Tax, a project incubated at ParcBit whose digital platform helps non-residents and real estate professionals meet Spanish tax obligations in a multilingual, accessible way.

This is the second edition of the TOP 101 Spain Up Nation Awards. Last year, the Balearic Islands had four selected companies: BioSmartData, TipS, TripResale and We Are Lab.

Summary of the selected companies for TOP 101:

  • Iberian Tax: a digital platform that helps non-residents comply with Spanish tax obligations clearly, securely and in multiple languages.
  • Trueworld Organisation: a public climate observatory based on blockchain and big data, promoting traceability and citizen participation in environmental impact.
  • REM Experience: creates immersive simulators for medical and healthcare training and provides a platform for educational centres to develop applications using augmented reality and artificial intelligence.
  • Gemminis: uses computer vision and AI to analyse streets and sidewalks, generating urban inventories and CO₂ emission data.
  • Voltic: manufactures smart IoT devices for hotels, managing thousands of rooms, reducing energy consumption by up to 30 %, and improving guest experience.
