During the ceremony, Bestard congratulated all participants, breeders, and owners for their dedication to trot horse breeding, emphasising their vital contribution to preserving a sport deeply rooted in Mallorca’s culture and traditions.

He also noted that this year’s event “takes on special significance as it coincides with October 12th, a symbolic date for all Spaniards, making the Breeder’s Grand Prix a true celebration of both national pride and Mallorcan heritage.”

Despite the morning rain disrupting the early races, the afternoon session took place without incident, offering the large audience an exciting sporting spectacle and a festive atmosphere worthy of Spain’s National Day celebrations.

The Breeder’s Grand Prix continues to establish itself as a cornerstone event for promoting and supporting the trotting horse sector in the Balearic Islands, reinforcing the Consell de Mallorca’s commitment to tradition, sport, and the island’s cultural identity.
