The Island Council of Menorca has announced a new public recruitment process to fill Tourism Technician positions, both through temporary civil service appointments and short-term labour contracts.

This initiative aims to create an extraordinary employment pool within the A2 professional subgroup, allowing the Tourism Department to strengthen its team with qualified professionals.

Applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements, including holding a degree in Tourism or an equivalent qualification, and possessing a B2 level in Catalan.

The Island Council of Menorca opens a new call for Tourism Technician positions

The application period will remain open for 20 calendar days from the day after the official publication in the Official Bulletin of the Balearic Islands (BOIB).

Candidates may apply online via the Council’s digital platform using an electronic ID, digital certificate, Citizen PIN, or Cl@ve access through oposicions.cime.es. Applications can also be submitted in person at the Citizen Service Offices (SAC) in Maó or Ciutadella.

The selection process will include one exam and a merit assessment phase.
The exam will consist of two parts:

  1. A theoretical test, based on multiple-choice questions related to the general syllabus.
  2. A theoretical-practical test, involving a written case study based on the specific syllabus.

After completing the exam phase, candidates who pass will have their academic and professional merits evaluated, following the criteria outlined in the official guidelines.

Through this new call, the Island Council of Menorca reaffirms its commitment to enhancing the tourism sector by incorporating skilled professionals dedicated to sustainable development and the quality promotion of the island’s tourism industry.
