As part of the activities organised to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Te deix, amor, la mar com a penyora by Carme Riera, the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) has organised a reading club dedicated to the Mallorcan writer, in which three works highlighting her memory and identity will be discussed.

The Carme Riera Reading Club, directed by Irene Zurrón, began on Monday, October 13, at the Can Sales Library, with the book Temps d’innocència.

The next sessions will also be held at Can Sales:

• On November 3, with the novel La meitat de l’ànima.
• On December 1, with the book Te deix, amor, la mar com a penyora.

As the closing event of the reading club, a public meeting with Carme Riera has been organised. This will take place on December 15 at the Archive of the Kingdom of Mallorca, where the exhibition “Carme Riera, l’amor, la mar” will also be open to visitors.
