The sponsorship supports clubs competing in basketball, handball, cycling, futsal, and volleyball
The goal is to strengthen Balearic high-performance non-professional sports
The Balearic Government, through the Balearic Sports Foundation, has allocated one million euros to a sponsorship program aimed at supporting eight sports teams from the Balearic Islands that compete in top-tier national and international competitions in non-professional categories.
The purpose of this initiative is to support high-performance non-professional sports in the Balearic Islands, enhance the visibility of local clubs, and promote the core values of sport—effort, teamwork, and commitment.

The teams benefiting from this sponsorship program are:
- Asociación Deportiva Palma de Mallorca F.S. (€400,000)
- Club Ciclista Sporty (€125,000)
- Club Voleibol Ciutadella (€100,000)
- Club Voleibol Manacor (€100,000)
- Club Baloncesto Menorca (€75,000)
- Club Baloncesto Palmer (€75,000)
- Club Baloncesto Imprenta Bahía (€75,000)
- Balonmano Club Ibiza (€50,000)
During the presentation ceremony, held at the Balearic Islands Sports Technification Centre, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzà, emphasised that “this program reaffirms the Government’s commitment to the clubs that represent the Balearic Islands across the country, and which stand as examples of perseverance and passion for sport.”
Meanwhile, the Director General of Sports, Joan Antoni Ramonell, highlighted that “this sponsorship initiative provides stability to sports projects and helps clubs continue growing and competing at the highest level.”
