A total of 60 groups of secondary and vocational training students from 34 schools across the Balearic Islands will take part this academic year in the “Ibemprènjove” program, an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Business, Self-Employment and Energy and the Ministry of Education and Universities, and managed by the Balearic Islands Regional Development Agency (ADR Balears).
The program’s main goal is to promote entrepreneurial skills among students, encouraging them to design, create, and manage their own business or cooperative with the guidance of their teachers.

Sixty student groups from the Balearic Islands to develop business projects through the “Ibemprènjove” program
“Ibemprènjove” is divided into three different levels, depending on the educational stage:
- JEP (Young Professional Entrepreneurs): aimed at intermediate and higher-level vocational students, who must develop an innovative business idea throughout the school year.
- JES (Young Secondary Entrepreneurs): designed for secondary school students, who will create a cooperative focused on projects addressing climate change, social transformation, or technological solutions for local challenges.
- JEA (Young Associated Entrepreneurs): intended for basic vocational training students, who simulate the creation and management of a business activity linked to the educational system.
This year, the JEP category has the highest participation, with 23 groups from 16 schools, followed by JES with 21 groups from 12 schools, and JEA with 16 groups from 10 centres.
The most outstanding projects from each category will compete in the Ibemprènjove Awards, which aim to highlight innovation, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit. Each program (JEP, JES, and JEA) will award €1,000 for first prize, €500 for two second prizes, and €250 for four honourable mentions.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place between April and May 2026.
