The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda has launched the national campaign “How do you imagine your future?”, aimed at raising awareness of the importance of public policy and government action in guaranteeing the constitutional right to decent and adequate housing in Spain.
The initiative marks the 47th anniversary of Article 47 of the Spanish Constitution, which mandates public authorities to promote the necessary conditions and establish regulations to make this right effective, ensuring that land use serves the public interest and preventing speculation.
A campaign highlighting the role of public action in housing access
Through this campaign, the Ministry seeks to emphasise the importance of public investment and coordination in ensuring that everyone has access to affordable, safe, and suitable housing, underscoring that housing is a fundamental element of social equality and inclusion.
A story that inspires reflection
The main piece of the campaign introduces Berta, Luis, and Carlos, three 60-year-old roommates who continue to share a flat. Combining irony and realism, the spot imagines a dystopian future set in 2055, where the struggle for housing independence remains a social challenge.

“How do you imagine your future?”: a campaign highlighting the role of public action in housing access
Created by the advertising agency Sra. Rushmore and produced by Central Films, the campaign draws inspiration from Eurostat data, which show that the average age of leaving home in Spain is 30, about four years higher than the EU average, a gap that has persisted for more than 25 years.
The campaign will be broadcast nationwide across TV, radio, print, outdoor media, and digital platforms, aiming to spark reflection and dialogue on the crucial role of public policies in securing the right to housing.
