Department of Families and Social Welfare enhances mental health support services with improved salaries and updated care standards

The update aims to provide a more stable, personalised, and effective service, better aligned with the real needs of users.

Key improvements include:

  • Salary increases for all professional categories.
  • Updated staff-to-user ratios, ensuring more personalised attention.
  • Application of the National Collective Agreement and other sectoral accords.
  • Modernised protocols and service guidelines to enhance quality standards.

In addition, the department maintains the double insularity allowance for professionals working on the island of Ibiza, in force since January 2024, providing an extra €300 per month across all job categories.

Updated pricing to ensure long-term service sustainability

The new resolution also revises the service’s financial framework to reflect actual operating costs and guarantee long-term sustainability.

Starting in 2026, the daily service rate will be €47.55 in Ibiza and €42.56 across the rest of the islands, rising in 2027 to €48.96 and €43.97, respectively.

The updated technical specifications introduce new monitoring and evaluation criteria designed to ensure higher-quality, more individualized support for every user.

These measures have been developed in collaboration with the organizations currently managing the service, reinforcing the department’s commitment to cooperation, continuous improvement, and the protection of mental health care as a public service.
