The Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports has approved more than €260,000 in grants to support four cultural foundations developing unique projects of significant social and heritage value across the Balearic Islands.
The beneficiaries are the Ciutadella Cultura Foundation, the Teatre del Mar Foundation, the Coll Bardolet Cultural Foundation, and the Pro Royal Spanish Academy Foundation, which will use the funds to strengthen their cultural activities and ensure the continuity of their projects.

Details of the grants
- Ciutadella Cultura Foundation will receive €100,000 to fund the 150th anniversary activities of Teatre des Born, a program that celebrates the historic and cultural legacy of this emblematic theatre and encourages public participation.
- Teatre del Mar Foundation will obtain €40,000 to implement its 2025 Performing Arts Program, which includes creative, production, and theatrical exhibition initiatives. The grant will be provided in full, upfront, to guarantee continuity in light of the entity’s limited liquidity.
- Coll Bardolet Cultural Foundation will be awarded €49,500 to promote its annual cultural program in Valldemossa, focused on disseminating the work of painter Josep Coll Bardolet and enhancing local cultural life in the Serra de Tramuntana.
- Pro Royal Spanish Academy Foundation will receive €75,000 to support the publication of major editorial projects by the RAE, including the Biblioteca Clásica and the final edition of the New Grammar of the Spanish Language, reinforcing its mission to preserve and promote the Spanish language.
Through this initiative, the department strengthens its commitment to heritage preservation, artistic promotion, and cultural development, consolidating culture as a driving force for social cohesion and the international projection of the Balearic Islands.
