The Health Service of the Balearic Islands has awarded the construction of the new Nuredduna Health Centre and Continuous Care Unit in Artà to Proyecon Galicia, S.A., for a total value of €4,971,985.63.
The project will be financed through the Insularity Factor funds of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands, within the framework of the healthcare and social care centre program established by Royal Decree-Law 4/2019 of 22 February on the special regime for the Balearic Islands. This initiative is part of the 2024–2027 Health Investment Plan, which foresees an investment of €435 million in healthcare infrastructure over the next four years.
The new health centre will cover an area of 2,024 square metres, tripling the size of the current building, and will increase from ten to fifteen consulting rooms: five for family medicine, five for nursing, two for paediatrics, one for paediatric nursing, and two multipurpose rooms.

Health awards the construction of the new Artà Health Centre and Continuous Care Unit for 4.9 million euros
The single-storey building will be located on land granted by the Artà Town Council, at the entrance to the town on the Manacor road, next to the Na Pati car park, facilitating access for users and vehicles. Plans also include a 22-space car park for staff and users, as well as an additional area for ambulances.
The Nuredduna Health Centre belongs to the Basic Health Zone of Artà, which also includes the Basic Health Unit of Colònia de Sant Pere, serving a population of 7,788 residents. The centre’s staff includes four family doctors, one emergency doctor, one paediatrician, four nurses, one auxiliary nurse, one physiotherapist, one midwife, and four administrative staff.
In 2024, healthcare professionals at the centre provided 33,704 family medicine consultations, 30,224 nursing consultations, and 5,134 paediatric consultations, as well as 1,950 home visits, totalling 69,062 medical attendances.
