Social Security adds 230,000 new members in the first half of October, surpassing 21.8 million workers

Over the past year, the number of registered workers has risen by 494,312, and since the labour reform implemented in December 2021, employment has grown by nearly two million people.

The Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, praised the data, noting that “October once again brings more and better-quality jobs, maintaining the strong pace of growth that followed an exceptional September.”

These figures reinforce the resilience of Spain’s job market, driven mainly by the services, construction, and industrial sectors, and demonstrate sustained employment growth even in a month typically marked by moderation.
