Over 800 seniors enjoy the first Ballroom Dance Day organized by the Consell de Mallorca

The President of the Consell de Mallorca, Toni Fuster, attended the opening ceremony together with the Minister of Presidency and the Island Director for Sociocultural Promotion, Hermosinda Mariño. President Fuster highlighted the vitality and enthusiasm shown by Mallorca’s seniors, stating that dancing helps to keep social ties alive and encourages self-expression and wellbeing, values the institution aims to continue supporting.

The Minister also pointed out that ballroom dancing had been long requested by many senior organizations, and that following the success of Line Dance Days, this new initiative is now officially part of the sociocultural programme of the Consell.

The event included a group lunch to share experiences and a final joint choreography that brought the celebration to an energetic close. This activity is part of a broader programme that offers seniors cultural trips, social gatherings, stays, and dance-related events throughout the year.
