The Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda will convene a technical meeting next week with Spain’s regional governments to continue work on the 2026–2030 National Housing Plan, aimed at strengthening public, affordable and sustainable housing across the country.

During the Sectoral Housing and Urban Agenda Conference, chaired by Minister Isabel Rodríguez, participants stressed the need for a broad consensus to ensure the constitutional right to decent housing and to promote equality in access for all citizens.

The new Plan includes a total investment of €7 billion, focused on expanding public housing with permanent protection, promoting building rehabilitation and energy efficiency, and increasing rental assistance for vulnerable groups — particularly young people and low-income families.
