Representatives of the Moroccan community in the Balearic Islands met with regional officials to present a study on school attendance and dropout rates among Moroccan youth living in the islands. The report, sponsored by the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME), examines the educational challenges faced by the community and proposes measures to enhance school integration.
The meeting was attended by Antònia Maria Estarellas, Second Vice President and Minister for Presidency, Government Coordination, and Local Cooperation, and Manuel Pavón, Director General for Immigration and Development Cooperation. Representing the Moroccan community were CCME President Driss El Yazami and Al Maghreb Association President Mostafa Boulharrak El Idrissi, along with Consulate officials Mourad El Mourabit and Abdelghani Oujjani.

Institutional Meeting with Moroccan Community Addresses Educational Integration in the Balearic Islands
During the session, the study was formally handed to the vice president, and key issues of collaboration on immigration and education were discussed. Estarellas emphasised the significance of the meeting: “This exchange is highly valuable, especially considering the size of the Moroccan community in our region.”
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment to advancing dialogue, improving educational and social integration policies, and strengthening institutional cooperation between regional authorities and Moroccan representatives.
