The Balearic Islands set the cultural standard in the Mediterranean with Blauïna
The Balearic Islands, through their Tourism Strategy Agency, are bringing the art of Joan Miró to London in a groundbreaking cultural experience that blends art, music, and innovation, powered by the creative team behind Mallorca Live.
As part of the World Travel Market 2025, the installation Blauïna offers an immersive sound and visual journey inspired by Miró’s symbolic universe and the deep Mediterranean blue seen in his work. This multisensory piece invites Londoners to step into a world of light, colour, and poetry that reflects the islands’ modern cultural identity.

Miró’s work lights up Oxford Street with an immersive experience
Blauïna is a key element of Paysage Miró, an extensive exhibition currently taking place in Palma, displayed across four iconic venues: Fundació Miró Mallorca, Es Baluard Museu, Casal Solleric, and the Llotja de Palma.
The concept, created by Michael Doherty and Íker Olabe, features a musical composition that fuses a string quartet from the Balearic Symphony Orchestra and the 18th-century organ of Santa Creu Church with electronic soundscapes by emerging Balearic group DMASSO. The performance is projected in 360° at W1 Curates, right in the heart of Oxford Street.
With this initiative, the Balearic Islands reaffirm their commitment to culture and innovation as a cornerstone of their global appeal, positioning themselves as a leading cultural destination in the Mediterranean.
