Carme Fernández Vidal, professor at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears, will premiere her new work Se sueña que se está soñando on November 7, 8, and 9 at the National Music Auditorium in Madrid. The piece will be performed by the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir (OCNE), conducted by Gemma New.
The Ministry of Education and Universities has highlighted the artistic significance of this premiere, showcasing both the high level of excellence at the Conservatori and the dedication of its faculty to contemporary music creation and promotion.

Composer Carme Fernández Vidal premieres “Se sueña que se está soñando” with Spain’s National Orchestra and Choir
Inspired by a text by philosopher Eugenio Trías, the composition opens a dialogue between words and music, reflecting Fernández Vidal’s unique poetic and refined style, rooted in the balance between lyricism, tradition, and modernity.
Fernández Vidal holds a PhD with honours from the University of the Balearic Islands and advanced degrees in Composition, Piano, Music Theory, and Pedagogy. Her works have been performed at major national and international festivals and commissioned by institutions such as the SGAE Foundation, AEOS, Spain’s National Centre for Music Dissemination (CNDM), and the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra.
