Mallorca launches “Noves Presències” art exhibition in London to showcase young creative talent

Antònia Roca, Vice President of the Consell and Councillor for Culture and Heritage, stated:

“After years without opportunities for Mallorca’s emerging artists, it is a privilege to bring ‘Noves Presències’ to London and share the island’s rising talent with the world. Culture is a strategic tool in tourism today, especially when international audiences seek authentic, place-based experiences.”

The exhibit, titled “Noves Presències. Within and Beyond the Frame,” features works from seven young artists selected by the Balearic Association of Art Curators and Critics (ACCAIB). The participating artists are Joan Bonnemaison, Elena Covas López, Marta Crespí, Marga Estelrich, Rebeca Morey Pérez, Nicole Scarpa, and Joan Vidal Monserrat, under the curatorship of Beatriz Escudero.

Originally relaunched in May after years of inactivity, the exhibition now embarks on its international journey in London, serving as a platform to spotlight Mallorca’s emerging creatives and strengthen the link between culture and tourism as a distinctive value of the island.
