The President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Margalida Prohens, attended the 2025 Business Awards Gala organised by the Confederation of Business Associations of the Balearic Islands (CAEB), a landmark event in the business calendar held this year at the historic Teatro Principal in Maó, Menorca.
During the ceremony, the prestigious Businessperson of the Year Award was presented, recognising leadership, innovation, and social commitment within the Balearic business community. This award highlights the efforts of companies contributing to economic growth and community development across the islands, particularly in the context of ongoing digital transformation and sustainability challenges.

Margalida Prohens Highlights the Key Role of Balearic Entrepreneurs at the 2025 Business Awards Gala in Maó
The event was attended by prominent figures from both the political and business spheres, including CAEB President Carmen Planas; CEOE President Antonio Garamendi; President of the Island Council of Menorca, Adolfo Vilafranca; and the Mayor of Maó, Héctor Pons. Members of the Balearic Government, private sector leaders, and institutional representatives were also present.
In her closing speech, President Prohens congratulated the award recipient and underscored the vital role of entrepreneurs as drivers of employment, innovation, and social progress. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reducing bureaucratic hurdles, strengthening business competitiveness, and promoting a favourable environment for investment across the Balearic Islands.
