The Department of Environment, Rural Affairs, and Sports of the Consell de Mallorca has launched “Dissabtes a Raixa” (“Saturdays at Raixa”), a program offering storytelling, live cooking sessions, and workshops for families at one of the island’s most symbolic heritage sites.
Organised by the Environmental Education Unit, all activities are free of charge and will take place in the stunning gardens and natural surroundings of the Raixa estate.

Consell de Mallorca presents “Saturdays at Raixa,” a family-friendly cultural series at the iconic estate
Pedro Bestard, Second Vice President and Councillor for Environment, Rural Affairs, and Sports, highlighted the aim of the initiative: “These events offer a cultural alternative designed to help children discover the public estate of Raixa and connect with our history and heritage in a fun and hands-on way.”
The program will run on November 15 and 29, with a full schedule for children and their families from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
- November 15: a storytelling session titled Les gotetes d’aigua for children aged 3 to 6, followed by a live cooking show featuring traditional, waste-free recipes.
- November 29: a Christmas-themed upcycling workshop where participants can turn unused materials into festive decorations, along with a live cooking activity focused on reducing food waste.
