Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (SFM) will introduce new train and metro timetables starting Monday, 17 November. The changes aim to better align schedules with current operating conditions and enhance punctuality, reliability and overall service quality.
At the same time, the Consorci de Transports de Mallorca (CTM) will adjust the timetables of the TIB shuttle buses so they remain fully coordinated with the updated train schedules. This ensures seamless transfers at key stations such as Marratxí, Consell-Alaró, Inca, Constància-Hospital de Inca and Sineu.

FM updates its timetables from Monday, the 17t,h to improve punctuality and reliability across the rail network
The timetable revision follows a technical assessment carried out by SFM’s Operations Department, in collaboration with train drivers and inspectors. The analysis determined that the existing schedules were developed under outdated operational conditions and no longer reflect the reality of the current rail network. The review used real-time data recorded over the last six months and took into account factors including ongoing works—such as the replacement of the Greco Street bridge in Palma—higher train occupancy, single-track crossings, temporary speed restrictions and longer station dwell times prompted by increased demand.
With the new schedule, SFM aims to enhance running times, improve internal coordination among driving, maintenance and planning teams, and ultimately provide a more dependable service. The change forms part of a broader improvement plan that includes infrastructure upgrades, renewed signalling systems, enhanced maintenance and the gradual deployment of ERTMS technology.
Regarding the TIB network, the lines adapting to the new train timetable include:
- 341 Pòrtol – Son Llàtzer – FAN (Marratxí station)
- 331 Alaró – Orient and 342 Alaró – Estación – Consell (Consell-Alaró station)
- 313 Selva – Inca (Inca station)
- 316 Son Serra – Inca (Constància–Hospital de Inca station)
- 441 Ariany – Maria – Sineu and 442 Sant Joan (Sineu station)
Updated timetables and service details can be consulted on SFM’s and TIB’s official websites.
